Journal of Nietzsche Studies seeks a new Executive Editor

Professor Jessica Berry completes her ten-year term as Executive Editor at the end of May 2026.  She has, by common consensus, done a terrific job, building on the work of her predecessor, Christa Acampora.  JNS is now the preeminent forum for Nietzsche scholarship.  Those of us who would never dream of subnmitting, say, to Nietzsche-Studien now submit to JNS.  Here is the ad for the position, including contact information:

The Journal of Nietzsche Studies is seeking a new Executive Editor, who would be responsible for preparing 2 issues per year, from the submission and refereeing stages through to the final publication of the issues.  The editor must be a scholar who is responsible, judicious, detail-oriented, and conversant in contemporary Nietzsche studies.  The new editor’s home institution would need to provide a dedicated email address and host the journal webpage; applicants should confirm that this will be possible.

Further details about JNS are here:

Those interested in applying should please submit by Feb 15 a CV and a brief statement (no more than 2-3 paragraphs) outlining i) their qualifications and relevant editorial and administrative experience, ii) their teaching load and other professional commitments, iii) the support their institution can provide, and iv) their vision for JNS’s future.

The commitment would be for a 5-year term as Executive Editor, and work would begin in May 2026.

Applications and informal inquiries should be directed to Prof. Andrew Huddleston (ahuddles AT nd.edu) who is chairing the search committee.
